we all live in a watershed

But, what is a watershed? A watershed could be compared to a very large bowl with the lowest point at the bottom of the bowl. At the bottom, we find creeks, streams, rivers, and/or lakes.

Higher up the bowl, we find dry land. Including our homes, schools, streets, schools, parking lots, etc...

When it rains, water falls on the entire "bowl" and flows downhill, or, down the side of the bowl.

The rain water collects anything and everything it is able to mix with and transport downhill.

This means that what we do on land ends up in our water! That's why it is important to make sure to follow the simple steps our spokesdog, Sparkles, loves to share!
